Since 2011 Tamani Villas were set in the surreal landscape of North-East Zanzibar, we provide the unique opportunity to give back to the local community by supporting Tamani School, which provides free nursery and Primary Education in Matemwe. We are more than just a luxury travel destination.

Our Villas and Rooms:

 5 Bedroom Villa (Villa Tumaini) with a private pool can accommodate 12 people on beds (up to 15 guests per villa),

4 Bedroom Villa (Villa Tamani) with a private pool can accommodate 10ppl on beds (up to 12 guests per villa)

8 Ensuite Annex Rooms (Villa Subira) with a shared pool (2-3ppl per room). 

We are staffed with full-time chefs and housekeeping, making it the best scene to serve your needs in Zanzibar. Each villa is decorated with traditional Zanzibari art to give an authentic feel.

The pools are surrounded by beautiful gardens, tropical palm trees, hibiscus, bougainvillea, heliconias, night-blooming jasmine, and sunbeds to relax at all times.

The villas have access to long stretches of white sandy beaches on either side of them. A long walk on the pristine beach or cycling is just bliss. Snorkeling in the shallow waters at low tide, reveals a sneak peek of the colorful world of coral and marine life that is at Mnemba marine reserve. On the beach, you can relax on the sunbeds under the traditional makuti roofs with a breathtaking view of the ocean.

Most of our supporting staff are from the local village and are here to ensure that Zanzibar for you is all that it has ever been for us…with a touch of luxury in a place where time, thankfully, slows down.
